British pet food company Essential Foods has appointed David Elsass as its new CEO with effect from 15 February. He will work closely with founder Christian Degner-Elsner to raise awareness of the brand in several major European markets. The position will be his first as CEO.
Elsass comes from a position as an independent consultant focusing on commercial strategy development for start-ups and scale-ups. Additionally, he has previously.
held the post of chief marketing & digital officer at GripGrab and as the VP of the Consumer Division at 3 Denmark. He also had strategic roles within sales and marketing at IC Group and Kunde & Co. in previous appointments.
